Israel's Arab voters helped deliver a political upset. Their representatives may now hold the key to forming a government that some opposition leaders refuse to consider.
The Jews , I am a Jew , have a decision to make. Many Israelis pat themselves on the back talking about Israeli Arabs and their rights in Israel. Doctors lawyers soldiers etc. Well either they are full and equal citizens or they are not. In Kuwait there are levels of citizenship and not all are equal. But if Israeli Arabs are full citizens then they should be considered if not embraced as coalition partners
But will you consider working together with someone who is not accepting the Zionist State they live in, and who is sponsored by the Muslim brotherhood?
There is not one singular Arab party but some of their positions on Israel are not great. But I think there is a fundamental question as to whether all citizens are equal? In Islam, going back to the days of the Prophet, there was a concept and characterization under Islam called Dhimmi. They were typically “People of the Book” which included jews and Christians. They were “protected”. They could retain their own religious laws and were exempt from military service. BUT, they had to pay a tax. The Jizya tax. They were second class citizens. So should Israel have a reverse Dhimmi? Where the arabs are Dhimmi?
I remember when i was a freshman in college in 1970 and I was draftable into the army during the Viet Nam was but i could not vote till I was 21. I thought if i was old enough to die for my country I was old enough to vote! In 1971 the 26th Amendment lowered the voting age to 18 and I voted.
if an arab israeli has an obligation to go into the IDF, they should have the right to vote and their vote should be equal to every other vote. Kuwait has 2 tiers of citizenship and in 2026 naturalized citizens were stripped of their right to vote.

Is that what Israel wants? It should be explicit.
