Israel betrayed Lebanese Christians when they had to deal with the islamists. Just because, like now, strong condemnation from the west. I hope this time Israel will act better and smarter.
In theory, dialogue seems like a step in the right direction but the sad truth is that it will not lead to much until Lebanon can back its words up with action. Israel only understands the language of violence. The Lebanese army must learn to speak this language fluently or its country will never be safe. And the best way to do that is to work WITH Hezbollah as the only military force that has proven capable of dissuading Israel from attacking Lebanon. You can’t placate Nazis, you have to show them you’re strong enough to protect yourself or they will never stop.

I would not describe Israel as violent .. Israel maintains peace with Jordan and Egypt because they have a peaceful co existence.
